ONENESS, ONE BREATH: A NEW SPACE IN NHA TRANG

There is a story, older than any of us, about where breath began.

Long before the first forest took root, it was the ocean that learned how to make air. Tiny organisms, drifting in ancient water, turned sunlight into oxygen millions of years before a single tree existed. Every breath we take today still carries a little of that beginning. We rarely think about it. But in a city like Nha Trang, where the sea sets the pace of everything, it is hard not to.

This is where we open our second space in NHA TRANG.

NHA TRANG – A CITY THAT SHOWS YOU HOW TO SLOW DOWN

Nha Trang doesn’t rush. The waves arrive and leave on their own schedule. The streets near the water move at the pace of people who grew up with the sea close by, unbothered, unhurried, easy. Spend a morning here and you notice your own breathing change without trying. It gets slower, deeper, like the city is quietly reminding your body of something it forgot.

We wanted our second home in Nha Trang to hold onto that feeling. The idea we kept returning to was simple: oneness, one breath. The thought that everything here – the ocean, the air, the people passing through – is connected by something as basic and as easy to overlook as breathing.

THE SPACE

The first thing you meet isn’t a wall, it’s fabric. Hand-dyed curtains from the craftsmen hung at the entrance, catching the breeze off the coast and moving with it. The space is built to stay open, the way lungs stay open.

Closer to the oven, there’s a detail most people miss on their first visit: reclaimed shells, set into the surface one by one, so the oven itself seems to have picked up a little texture from the sea. Once you notice it, you keep noticing it, like the ocean followed you in from the street and found somewhere warm to settle.

The tables carry their own story. What you’re resting your hands on used to be denim, reshaped by Stela Pop out of old jeans that would otherwise have ended up as waste. 

Studio Duo tied all of it together, shaping the layout and the flow of the room so the curtains, the shells, and the denim tables read as one idea instead of three separate ones fighting for attention.

THE PARTNERS

We don’t build these spaces on our own, and Nha Trang was no different.

Studio Duo took “Oneness, one breath” and turned it into something you can actually walk through — the shape of the room, the choice of every material, the feeling that arrives the moment you step inside. 

Stela Pop gave old denim a second life, turning it into the tables guests use every day, carrying a small but sturdy belief that waste doesn’t have to be where a material’s story ends.

Every time we open a new Pizza 4P’s, we ask ourselves the same question: what does this place already know, that we could learn from? Nha Trang is teaching us about breath, the kind the ocean gave us before we even had lungs to use it.

This is the thread that runs through every Pizza 4P’s space, wherever it opens: a genuine attempt to be inspired by the beauty and heritage already sitting right there, in the local craft, the local materials, the local rhythm, and to turn that inspiration into something that delivers a small “wow”, a moment that makes you pause. We believe happiness is easiest to find in connection – with a place, with the people who made it, with the person sitting across the table from you, and, hopefully, with a really good pizza.

Nha Trang gave us the idea of one breath. We just tried to build a room worthy of it.
