As the 9th October is World Egg Day, we thought this would be a great opportunity to share with you about our recent commitment to higher animal welfare farming by sourcing cage-free eggs within our supply chain.
It’s very important for us to focus on building a better community, and a better world, from the farm up. Therefore, with the support of Humane Society International–one of the world’s leading animal protection organizations, we will identify and work with cage-free producers to complete our commitment to cage-free eggs by the end of 2020.
So why do we choose to transition to cage-free?
So, hens can be themselves. Cage-free systems will let hens engage in natural behaviors and allow them to move freely. It’s also a sustainable and ethical way of eggs production with international animal welfare standards.
