Oneness Partner Vol.31 – Yokota farm, Yokota Gaku

Yokota Farm (@yokota.farm) in Ogawa, Saitama was founded on a profound mission: growing food safe enough for their own children. This commitment emerged from healing their son’s severe atopic dermatitis through dietary changes, leading them to embrace pesticide-free organic farming guided by “Shishisonson, Uisuizen”, living in harmony with nature for generations.

The farm cultivates over 50 varieties of vegetables and grains using purely organic methods, avoiding all pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and additives. They preserve heirloom and traditional varieties by saving and replanting their own seeds, ensuring genetic diversity continues through generations.

This season, our restaurant’s hummus features Yokota Farm’s Kuro-Sengoku soybeans. While maintaining traditional spice profiles, this soybean version delivers distinctive nutty richness and depth that captures nature’s vitality in every bite. Though subtle, this change reflects our commitment to meaningful, carefully sourced ingredients.
