PEACE, IN DIVERSITY
We put one word on our shirts. It just took nine languages to say it.
The design is by Bandung typographer Aditya Bayu Perdana (@by.abay), who brought together Balinese, Sundanese, Lontara, Lampung, Kawi, Javanese, Makassar, Pallawa, and Batak around a single idea: peace.
Indonesia is many cultures, many histories, many languages. That’s not something to solve. It’s something to hold.
That’s what we carry on our shirts each day – a few scripts, one word, one meaning.
These T-shirts are worn as uniforms by our Kitchen Partners. Next time you visit, take a closer look.
