RIPPLES OF HAPPINESS: A NEW SPACE AT HA LONG

A space inspired by the water’s ripples, built with the sea’s own materials.

HA LONG, VIETNAM – Pizza 4P’s has opened a newest restaurant in Ha Long, a city that sits on one of Vietnam’s most recognized natural landmarks: Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994.

The new space, located at Ha Long Bay, was designed around a simple observation about the bay itself. Drop a stone into calm water and it doesn’t stay where it lands – it moves outward, circle by circle, further than the stone ever touched.

That motion is the same one behind our philosophy: happiness spreads the way a ripple does. A slice shared becomes a table full of smiles. A good afternoon here follows a guest home and, in its own way, becomes someone else’s good evening.

DESIGN ROOTED IN THE BAY

The interior draws directly from Ha Long’s coastline. Oyster shells, sourced from farms near the bay, are set into the concrete floors and the entrance wall, and wrapped around the restaurant’s oven. Tables carry pearl shell detailing worked into the surface.

The materials were chosen deliberately, as a way of returning something the sea has given the region for generations, rather than as decoration.

A SITE WITH HISTORY

Ha Long Bay’s UNESCO status reflects centuries in which culture and nature in the region developed alongside each other. In designing the space, we aimed to build something that felt native to that history rather than added on top of it.

Pizza 4P’s Ha Long is now open to guests.
