ROSELLE, GROWN AMONG MANY

You’ll find YUM (@yumorganicfarm)’s roselle in our Roselle Sangria.

Roselle is one of many crops grown at YUM’s agroforestry project in Bukit Batu, Central Kalimantan.

Since 2018, YUM has grown trees and crops together, helping farmers diversify their land while offering training and better market access.

Through small trials, they’ve turned roselle’s bright red calyces into tea, syrup, and jam, giving farmers another crop with potential.

As part of the initiative, YUM is also working toward fair-trade purchasing, helping farmers receive fair prices for what they grow.

We slowly infuse the roselle with grape, strawberry, and orange, rounded out with honey. The fruit stays in the glass, so the flavour carries through to the last sip.
