The Beverage Coach is responsible for training, guiding, and inspiring team members in all
aspects of beverage preparation, service, and quality standards. This role ensures consistency,
creativity, and excellence in the beverage program while supporting staff development and
guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
- Conduct training sessions on beverage preparation, presentation, and service
standards. - Mentor and coach bar and service staff to improve skills, product knowledge, and
efficiency. - Develop training materials, SOPs, and refresh sessions to maintain consistency across
outlets.
Beverage Program & Quality Control
- Ensure all beverages (coffee, tea, juices, kombucha, etc.) meet company quality and
presentation standards. - Work with the Beverage Manager/Area Manager to develop seasonal menus and
improve beverage offerings. - Monitor inventory usage, minimize waste, and promote cost efficiency without
compromising quality.
Operational Support
- Support day-to-day beverage operations, stepping in to assist teams during peak hours
if required. - Collaborate with HR and Operations to identify training needs and performance gaps.
- Provide feedback to management on team performance, guest feedback, and
improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in beverage service, barista skills, or mixology (minimum 2–3 years).
- Previous experience in training, coaching, or team leadership is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic/alcoholic beverages.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
