I. ROLE PURPOSE
The Legal & Compliance Specialist identifies and assesses legal risks, manages contract lifecycles, and ensures regulatory compliance across F&B operations. This role acts as a strategic partner to internal departments, providing practical legal recommendations to support business decisions and maintaining the integrity of the company’s legal documentation and licensing requirements.
II. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Risk Assessment & Contract Management

Identify and assess legal risks in daily business activities and contracts, analyzing them within the context of the overall business flow.

Draft, review, and revise contracts and legal documents, providing practical recommendations to support implementation.

Support contract negotiations to ensure alignment between terms and actual business practices.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Licensing

Ensure compliance with F&B laws, including tracking and managing licensing and post-licensing procedures for restaurants.

Monitor legal and regulatory updates, reporting potential impacts to the Legal Manager.

Maintain and organize legal documentation and filing systems to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
3. Stakeholder Support & Project Coordination

Provide timely legal support to internal departments (Operations, Finance, HR) to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

Coordinate with external regulators and counsel under the guidance of the Legal Manager.

Support the Legal & Compliance Manager in executing legal projects and workstreams.
III. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education Background
-
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB)

Preferred: Admission to the Bar or relevant professional legal certification.
Language Proficiency

Required: English – Advanced (Fluent in both written and spoken legal/business English)
Minimum Experience Duration

3-5 years of experience
Relevant Experience

Required: Experience working in law firms or in-house legal departments with a focus on commercial law, corporate matters, and contract management.

Preferred: Specific experience in F&B, retail, or multi-location operations.
Stakeholder Influence & Collaboration

Required: Proven ability to work cross-functionally and support internal stakeholders as a reliable legal partner.
Industry or Domain Expertise

Required: Advanced knowledge of corporate, contract, and commercial law.

Preferred: Familiarity with F&B regulatory requirements, licensing, and country-specific laws.
