[HCM] Senior Project Engineer (Architect background preferred)

I. ROLE PURPOSE

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing all technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations.

II. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Project Planning and Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, designers, and other consultants to ensure project requirements are met.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.

2. Site Supervision and Quality Control

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and resolve issues.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project timelines and safety protocols.
• Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Review and approve material samples and workmanship.

3. Budget and Cost Management

• Review and verify contractor invoices and progress claims.
• Manage change orders and variations, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
• Monitor project expenses and ensure they remain within the approved budget.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

III. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Minimum Experience Duration 3-5 years of experience

Relevant Experience

• Required: 3+ years in project engineering or construction management.
• Preferred: Experience in the F&B or retail industry.
• Preferred: background in Architect

Stakeholder Influence & Collaboration

• Required: Experience collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to implement talent strategies.

Industry or Domain Expertise

• Required: Experience in F&B or service-driven industries.
