Our floors, walls, and lighting supports are adorned with
a traditional Indian technique known as “Oxide.” Skilled artisans from the state of Kerala play a crucial role in the exceptional application of Oxide. A mixture of river sand and cement is applied, followed by an extensive curing process with water, sanding, cleaning, waxing, and polishing for the final finish.

The use of the Oxide technique in painting is a traditional method in India, particularly prevalent in various homes and facilities in Kerala. The texture is cool to the touch, inviting you to run your fingers across its surface. During the summer, lying on an Oxide floor provides a refreshing feeling, characterizing Indian everyday life for generations.

We chose to incorporate this technique into our architecture to embrace this splendid culture and to uphold a simple
yet a powerful tradition. As this method requires time and effort, the number of artisans skilled in this technique has dwindled. Nowadays, many opt for artificial tiles and wallpapers, leading to a decline in knowledge of this traditional art.

Through our store, we sincerely hope to introduce more people to this tradition and contribute to its preservation.
